Our central Iowa client is searching for
an electrical engineer to join their organization! In this position the
ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Developing of electromechanical
transducers and power and controls systems that include
electromechanical transducers with team members
Designing power solenoids for
magnetostrictive transducers with team members
Independently developing a wide
variety of electronic communication and power circuits from PI
controllers to H bridge power amplifier circuits
Act as technical resource for
engineering management for a variety of subjects, including the future
direction of electronic power amplifier design topographies, machine
controllers, and development paths for custom electromechanical
transducer power electronics
Managing vendors and subcontractors in
the technical development of new electrical subassemblies
Implementing analog, digital, and
hybrid control circuits as a printed circuit board
Troubleshoot new circuit designs
Troubleshoot system electronics from
schematics
The ideal candidate should have
experience in:
DSP operation, programming, and I/O
interfacing
Hardware Description Language
programming such as Verilog or VHDL
Circuit card layout CAD software
Lumped-parameter modeling of
mechanical and electrical systems
SPICE simulation software (TINA, OrCad,
etc.)
Understand principals of operation of
linear and switching-mode power amplifiers
Understand and be able to design
pulse-width modulation circuits for inductive loads
Understand non-linear circuit effects
such as transformer core saturation and hysteresis
Be able to work independently with
little support from other electrical engineers
Experience in Matlab
Experience using network and spectrum
analyzers
