Our
client, in Southern Minneapolis, is searching for a Operations
Supervisor to join their expanding team. Responsibilities for this
position include coordinating and providing leadership to set-up, lead
people in assigned production areas. The major portion of this position
is to produce product on time and efficiently to acceptable quality
levels. Other duties include:
Participating in
department planning and decision making covering: Department training
programs, employee development, equipment justification, and
subsequent department improvement opportunity priorities.
Responsible for continuous
improvement and measurement of production activities including:
Quality, WIP, lead time reduction, on time completion, efficiencies,
inventory turns, safety, budget control, etc.
Facilitating, promoting
and supporting employee involvement in daily quality initiatives, new
technologies, and quality system accreditation.
Administration of company
policy including selection of new employees, merit increases,
transfer, promotion, performance reviews, absenteeism policy,
disciplinary actions and recommendations, safety and housekeeping
rules.
Administering training and
cross training programs to assure uniformity, consistency and
flexibility within the manufacturing facility.
Provide coaching and
counseling of employee performance on an ongoing basis supplementing
the performance appraisal process.
Qualifications for the opportunity include a B.S. degree or equivalent
training and experience. APICS certification; Supervisory
training; SAP or other ERP/MRP II training is a plus. The ideal
candidate will have a minimum
of four to eight years manufacturing experience along with one to four years supervision experience required. This
