Our client is an international property and casualty insurance company. They offer specialty insurance products and reinsurance programs to a variety of niche markets. Their market strategy enables them to develop expertise and specialized market knowledge. They currently offer an opportunity to join their underwriting team as a senior commercial lines underwriter. In this position you'll be responsible for underwriting E&S casualty coverage. Experience in umbrella coverage like auto, general and employers liability a must. Experience working with diverse classes of business is preferred with an emphasis on contractor coverage. You'll be assigned a territory within the southwest U.S. that will be your responsibility to develop agency relationships. Established ties to agencies in Arizona and California preferred. You'll also be required to travel quarterly on marketing calls to visit your agents. A bachelor's degree and 7-8 years of underwriting experience is required. Working towards or completion of a professional designation is preferred.
