They presently offer an opportunity to join their organization in a senior leadership role. As this company's National Sales Manager you will lead a $50 million operation consisting of 2 branches and 6 sales offices. You are primarily responsible for the profit and loss of both the Group Benefits East and West operations. You will be responsible for building and staffing an incentivized sales organization. You will be responsible for identifying and defining sales territories and locations of sales executives. Sales management responsibilities will include establishing production goals, developing individual sales executive plans, and setting productivity targets. Further you will also track and report sales activity and manage the incentive compensation program for sales executives. Training and coaching will be a critical function of this position and will require you to identify and prioritize training needs, as well as establish an on-going training schedule. This is an opportunity to rebuild and rework their present sales force. To be considered, you will need to offer around ten or more years of experience in managing an incentivized sales force, experience in building and staffing a sales organization, and experience in team building. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior presentation skills, and proven results in developing, training, and motivating a sales staff. Our client also would like to see strong account management skills with a proven track record of developing strong client and customer relationship along with someone with a strong grasp of technology. Preferred product knowledge would be Accident & Health (A&H). However someone whose expertise is with Employee Benefits could be considered. The sales force will work with a broker distribution channel. Someone from a carrier or brokerage could be considered. The position will require heavy travel nationally.
