Our client has a long history of serving the insurance needs of individuals and businesses in the Western part of the US. They are rated Excellent by A.M. Best. Lines of business include: Personal Lines: Private Passenger Auto, Homeowners, and Umbrella protection and Commercial Lines: Policies for small to medium retail, service, manufacturing and construction businesses. They have a desire to stay competitive in the market as well as poise themselves for growth. They are presently seeking leadership for their Product Management department. In this role of Product Development Manager you will be responsible for the development of programs, products, product enhancements and services that support the strategic initiatives and profitability goals of the Personal Lines division. Manage all aspects of development for assigned products, programs and services including pricing, underwriting rules, contract terms, market introduction and distribution. Monitor performance of assigned products and programs enhancing and/or changing them as necessary to assure consistency with division goals and profit targets. Identify and provide tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency of division. Supervise staff and manage the administrative function. To be considered you will need to offer a Bachelors degree. With a MBA desirable. A minimum of 4 years Personal Lines product management or research experience. CPCU preferred. Ability to understand, analyze and interrupt complex actuarial data. Considerable knowledge of insurance principles, and general business concepts. Considerable knowledge of pricing, underwriting, marketing and insurance policy processing techniques. Ability to successfully manage staff, train and develop staff. Familiarity with insurance company sales and distribution systems and alternatives. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including ACCESS and EXCEL. Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
