Insurance Job Description

Our client has grown from a small underwriting office to a multi-state managing general agency that represents almost 2,000 agents throughout the Southeast.  Their staff is comprised of ethical, experienced professionals committed to providing customers access to alternative markets.  They currently seek a senior underwriter for their P&C division. 

As Senior Underwriter

  • You'll be responsible for driving new business production while maintaining a high retention standard

  • You'll engage current and prospective retail agents to distribute products and address customer service needs

  • Conversely you'll help to represent the company with carriers and help create new programs that carve niches in the industry

Senior Underwriter Qualifications

  • 10+ years of carrier or program underwriting experience

  • Multi-line P&C background and knowledge of the E&S market and the wholesale brokerage business

  • Preference given to candidates with supervisory experience and knowledge of the Southeast retail agency network
