They currently offer an opportunity to join their sales team as a Business Development Manager. The location is open, as long as you are accessible to a major airport. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a national sales plan to build sustainable revenue in new sales channels, including but not limited to Financial Institutions, Affinity Groups, Insurance companies, etc

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a sales plan to achieve yearly sales goals, including monthly revenue forecasts.
  • Initiate, develop and maintain insurance and financial services company relationships through direct contact with "C" Level Executives.
  • Will require daily phone calls and emails for prospecting activities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle including: researching and identifying opportunities, getting appointments, presentations and proposal development.
  • Create and manage a prospect pipeline for annual revenue and future growth opportunities.
  • Advise company on current sales trends and competitor knowledge.

Business Development Manager Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-10 years successful selling experience, in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record in effective use of sales techniques and selling insurance/financial services.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with key decision makers/"C" level Executives.
  • Working knowledge of financial and insurance concepts.
  • Effective computer skills needed including knowledge and use of MS Office and a contact management system.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including ability to speak in front of large groups of people in addition to board room presentation ability.
